Ok, readers. It was tough to choose only five events this week - there are tons of things going on around town to keep you and the clan busy this weekend. We found a way for you to tap your inner artisan, play mini-golf inside, stroll historic Doylestown, and much more.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

FAMILY WORKSHOP - dysFUNCTIONAL FURNITURE

Where/When: Bucks County Community College, Newtown Campus, Saturday at 1:30pm

Why Go: Artist Michael Brolly shows you and yours how to create sustainable, funky, and fun pieces based on the current exhibition. 

Pricing: Free! But pre-register by calling 215-504-8531.

Where/When: , Saturday from 5pm - 10pm or Sunday afternoon form 1pm to 5pm

Why Go: Finally, you can be loud in the library. 18 holes throughout the stacks, snacks for sale, and it all benefits the Friends of the Library. 

Pricing: $5/person, or $15 for a group of four. 

Where/When: Peace Valley Nature Center, Saturday 11am - 1:30pm

Why Go: ‘Tis the season for crisp, delicious, and local syrup. Trek into the woods and learn about traditional methods of harvesting maple sap. Tasty treats will be available, too.

Pricing: No fee. 

OPEN SWIM 

Where/When: , Fridays, 8pm - 9:30pm

Why Go: Make sure you wait a half hour after dinner to take a plunge and brush up on blowing those bubbles and floating skills - summer at the pool is around the corner!

Pricing: $4/person. First 100 people admitted. 

Where/When: Follow the flags around Doylestown, Friday from 6pm to 9:30pm

Why Go: Because it was too cold to go last month! Bundle up and check out local merchants, restaurants, and more. More information here.
