Get Out Weekend Planner

Memorial Day festivities abound.

If you aren’t headed to the Jersey Shore to kick off the summer, there are lots of things to do this weekend aside from pool parties and backyard BBQ’s.We've gathered some of our favorites here  to keep you busy and local this Memorial Day weekend. Kick off the weekend with some live music, a sleepover at the Nature Center, and finish off with Memorial Day services to celebrate and remember our troops.

NATURE CENTER SLEEPOVER

Where/When:, Friday May 27th at 7pm. Pick-up at 9am Saturday. 

Why Go: Drop off your kids from ages 7-10 for a night hike, games, a movie and breakfast the next morning.

MEMORIAL DAY BBQ 

 Where/When: Sesame Place, Sunday May 29th at 5:30pm.

Why Go: An all you can eat buffet of classic BBQ fare, shared with your favorite Sesame characters. 

Pricing: You have to have a park admission ticket to join. See their website for details and reservations.

 

SPRING FLING BLUES NIGHT

Where/When: Sunday May 29th at 6pm.

Why Go: Get your groove on with drink specials, bar food, and solid live music. 

Pricing: No cover. 

 

FLAG RAISING CEREMONY 

Where/When:, Monday May 30th at 8am.

Why Go: The Marine Corps Patriot Division raises the American flag and the flags of each military division in this short ceremony. 

Pricing: Free

 

MEMORIAL DAY SERVICES

Where/When: Veteran’s Memorial Park (2nd Street Pike & Almshouse Rd, Richboro), Monday May 30th at 9am.

Why Go: Before you fire up the grill, come pay your respects.
