Come out to Penn's Landing and support recovery from addiction. Join Ted Williams, known as “the Golden Voice,” plus Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and other officials and thousands of walkers in celebration of National Recovery Month. Post-walk stage program includes performances by finalists from the 2012 Recovery Idol competition.

At the Walk, PRO-ACT will be collecting soap, toothpaste and other toiletries for individuals living in recovery houses who have lost their assistance.

* Registration – 7 a.m.

* Walk (1.75 miles) begins – 9 a.m.

* Post-walk stage program – 10 a.m.
