Almshouse Road to Close This Week For Pipe Installation

The road will be closed during the day Thursday and Friday so crews can install new drainage pipes.

Almshouse Road at Hatboro and Jacksonville roads in Northampton Township will be closed Thursday and Friday for the replacement of deteriorated drainage pipes, PennDOT announced.

The closure will be in place from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

During construction, Almshouse Road through traffic will be detoured over Jacksonville Road, Bristol Road and Hatboro roads. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone, PennDOT said.

PennDOT and Bucks County Maintenance crews will replace a deteriorated drainage pipe under Almshouse Road that caused a depression to form in the road.
