Tri-Township Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth, and Senior Babe Ruth teams continue their winning ways with 3 championships, and more opportunities ahead

Tri-Township Babe Ruth one of the oldest and most successful programs in Bucks County is returning to the State Championship for the second year in a year, at the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth level, and they are leading their division at the Senior Babe Ruth level.

Tri-Township Baseball Babe Ruth 13u-15u team won the District Championship by defeating Newtown, Middletown twice AA twice, and Valley AA. Tri-Township will next play in the States Opener on Wednesday July 16th, followed by games on the 17th, 19th, and 20th. If this year is anything like 2013, they Tri-Township team will be returning to the Championship Game.  No matter what, they play hard, play together, and they always play like winners as athletes and sportsman.  Lets cheer on our local boys.

NEXT UP, however, is Tri-Township's 11u team which is likewise returning to the State Championships this year after winning a District title State Championship, after beating defending champion Doylestown AA in two consecutive games. This district championship comes fresh off this 11u teams Suburban Travel Championship, and we all hope that the old saying stays true, things come in 3s. Tournament this Friday. The 11u boys have a short drive, and that means you can too.  So come out and watch our local District Champion playing four games this weekend at Lookout Park off River Road.  The games are set as follows:

  • Saturday 8 am and 1 pm.
  • Sunday at 1 pm and 6 pm

The Boys of Summer are still playing at the older ages too.  Tri-Township Senior Babe Ruth team (16-18u team) currently sits atop the North Division, ahead of Newtown, Pennsbury, and Morrisville. And the Tri-Township College team continues to play against other local college teams at Tri-Townships Home Field on the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds.
