Latest Models Show Higher Snowfall Totals

Some areas will see up to 4 inches of snow, the National Weather Service says.

Snow total predictions for Tuesday's storm have been increased.

The latest predictions from the National Weather Service show that Philadelphia and Delaware County will receive 1 to 2 inches of snow, while Bucks, Chester, Lehigh, Montgomery and Northampton counties will see 2 to 4 inches.

The storm will be worse to the north, a change from the past few storms the region has gotten, all of which have hit harder to the south.

The storm will last 18 to 24 hours, the National Weather Service says, but the snowfall will come in spurts and will not be continuous. About half of the predicted snowfall will come during the day Tuesday, the NWS said.

Strong winds with gusts of up to 30 mph are likely, the NWS said. The winds will continue through Wednesday.

Though the snow should be over by Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service says both Tuesday night and Wednesday morning commutes will be impacted.
