Search Continues for Woman Missing From New Hope

Sarah Majoras was last seen at 2 a.m. Saturday leaving John and Peter's bar in New Hope.

Search parties spent Sunday scouring alleyways and looking in Dumpsters, poking their heads into vacant train cars and bending down to look into drain culverts.

They cracked the ice on the nearby canal so divers could kick through the frigid waters.

A helicopter flew low and slow over the New Hope and Lambertville area, searching from above.

And when the friends, family and even strangers searching for Sarah Majoras come back together Monday morning to continue the search, they’re being asked to bring a stout stick to aid in searching under fallen trees and through underbrush.

Majoras, a bartender at John and Peter's bar in New Hope, disappeared early Saturday morning.

She was last seen at 2 a.m. Saturday leaving John and Peter's after spending time there with friends on her night off. Her friends say she left on foot to walk back to North Union Street in Lambertville, where she lives with her boyfriend.

She never made it home that night and did not show up for work Saturday night. Her friends say it would be very unlike her not to return home.

Friend and co-worker Lauren Williams described Majoras as sassy, smart and logical and said she was in good spirits and happy Friday night.

While her friends and family remain hopeful that Majoras will be found safe, her disappearance has affected them deeply.

"Whether we find her well or not, this will change us forever," Williams told Fox29.

On Sunday, authorities reviewed surveillance video footage that reportedly shows Majoras crossing the New Hope-Lambertville bridge.

The search then shifted to Lambertville. Police officers from Lambertville and the New Jersey State Police are investigating the missing person's case.

But dozens of volunteers also fanned out Sunday after an organizational meeting at John and Peter's on Sunday morning. The searchers combed New Hope and Lambertville for any sign of their friend and posted flyers around town.

Majoras, 39, was last seen wearing a green camouflage army jacket, white knit cap, and glasses.

Merchants in the area are being asked to review any security camera footage that might show Majoras at the time of her disappearance.

Flyers have been created and are being posted around town and shared online through social media in an effort to raise awareness of Majoras' disappearance.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact New Hope Borough Police at (215) 862-3033 or Lambertville police at (609) 397-3132.

It's so cold out, and the snow, sleet and freezing rain is on its way. It hurts to think she might be out there somewhere injured. :(
I hope they get some good news soon.

Is there a phone # or place to go and volunteer? Prayers from a nice warm house are nice but it won't do the leg work needed to find her.

If these places have not been searched, If she knew Lambertville, she may have went to see a view of the full moon from the old dilapidated high school
or at the tip of Lewis island. Blessings and hopes for finding her.
