Vote for your favorite park or outdoor recreation area in Northampton Township.

With the first official day of spring on March 20, this week's poll is all about the outdoors.

What park do you like the best in Northampton?

Do you enjoy strolling through the paths and seeking out wildlife at the Churchville Nature Center? Maybe you like the hilly and rural landscape of Tyler State Park.

Then theres the ball fields at the Recreation Center and the open soccer fields and grassy landscape at the Municipal Park.

Also, if we missed your favorite spot, let us know in the comment section below and we'll add it in.

Please vote on our polls in Newtown, Upper Southampton and Doylestown, too.

In the event of a tie on our survey, we will break the tie by counting the positive comments written below about the tied businesses, so please let us know why you think your choice is best.

This is a classic case of trying to compare apples and oranges! A list of "parks" which includes the Northampton Recreation Center and Tyler State Park stretches the definition of "park" into absurdity.

William, why are you always so critical. If you don't like it, then don't read.

William is right though - the Rec Center is not where you typically go to do "park-like" things. But this poll will reflect what people like to do with their spare time. If someone loves tennis, then maybe the rec center is perfect for them. If you love to ride bikes with your small children then the municipal park might be for you. Different strokes, and all that. But for this township the winner of this poll will certainly be our largest and most diverse park - Tyler.

Wow, hard choices, they are all different and have their uses, I love the concerts and ball games at Northampton Municipal Park along with some great path ways for bikes and walking. Also a great playground for the little kids, a skating rink and basket ball courts.

Tyler has the creek, people riding horses, a covered bridge, and miles of paths for walking, biking and exploring.

The Churchville Nature Center is a true treasure with the lake, great educational programs, gardens, beautiful pathways through old growth woods, bird blinds.

And anyone with kids and teens have to appreciate the rec center.

I guess it depends on what I am looking for at the time and really appreciate having all of them close by. Northampton is fortunate to have these great parks in our back yards.
