Police: 66-Year-Old Man Hit Parked Car
DUI charges are pending a lab report, after a man struck a parked car while driving, according to police reports.
Northampton Township Police reported to the scene of a traffic crash, where the driver of a vehicle struck a parked car, according to a recent police blotter.
On Thursday, Oct. 25 around 11 p.m., officers investigated a traffic crash in the 100 block of Bellwood Drive.
A vehicle that was being driven by a 66-year-old man from Langhorne struck a parked car. The man's car had to be towed from the scene due to the extent of damage, reports said.
Police observations of the man, along with his inability to successfully complete a series of field dexterity tests, led to his being taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence. He was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of his blood were obtained for analysis.
The man was then brought to Northampton Township Police Department headquarters for processing before being released. Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report.
