'Nemo' Could Bring Up to a Foot of Snow to Northampton

The latest forecast for Northampton greatly increased the amount of snow predicted in this weekend's winter storm.

Winter Storm "Nemo" could bring 6 to 12 inches of snow to the Northampton area Friday and Saturday.

The lastest forecast from the National Weather Service predicts 1 to 3 inches of snow Friday, then another 5 to 9 inches overnight Friday into Saturday.

That is a radical change from an earlier forecast, which predicted far less snow for the Bucks County area.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for southeast Pennsylvania, including Northampton at 3:20 p.m. on Thursday. In that bulletin, forecasters predicted 4 to 8 inches of snow, with a trace of ice.

Yup Hurricane Schwartz just said 8 to 12. Glad I don't have any big weekend plans.

Actually I wasn't predicting anything, just reporting what the National Weather Service said. They are currently predicting 4 to 10 inches for our area, most of it to fall overnight through 6 am. Can't control mother nature.
