Musical 'Flash Mob' Surprises Council Rock Teachers
Students from throughout the district from elementary to high school were selected to participate in a surprise musical performance last week at Council Rock High School South.
Council Rock students surprised their teachers Friday, when they did a musical “flash mob” performance of Ode to Joy at district staff meeting.
Students from throughout the district from elementary to high school were selected to participate in the surprise musical performance. A parent of one of the students who shared the video with Patch said they had just one group rehearsal prior to the performance.
The performance took place at Council Rock High School South during a staff meeting on a teacher in-service day. The teachers were expecting just a cellist, the parent tells Patch.
What began with a single cellist expanded to dozens of students playing an array of instruments and singing.
The musical flash mob begins about 3 minutes into the YouTube video.
