Is Blondie's in Holland Closed?

A notice on the door says Blondie's is open during construction, but the doors were locked and phone calls went to the answering machine.

After a reader asked if Blondie's III in Holland went out of business, Patch did a little digging around. According to signage on the building, Blondie's is still open, but the locked doors during business hours suggests otherwise.

After Beacon Hill raised the question, Patch attempted to contact Blondie's. Calls made on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 10 and 11 during the temporary business hours were directed to the answering machine, but no message could be left as the machine said its memory was full.

The doors were locked as of 4 p.m. on Thursday and the building looked empty inside. Another attempt was made via facebook, but no response has been received thus far.

A handwritten notice on the door said Blondie's is open during construction with temporary hours (3 p.m. to close Monday through Friday and noon to close on Saturday and Sunday). But another Patch commenter, Kenneth, said that the business is closing for a few weeks for remodeling.

Patch will continue to reach out to the business and keep you updated as information is received. If you have at tip or know another way to contact the owner or managers, please comment below or send an e-mail to jesseka@patch.com.

@Randi, Thanks for the comment. Do you know if it is closed temporarily or permanently? Is there any way you could put me in touch with your friend so I can try and get in touch with the owners or managers? Feel free to e-mail me at jesseka@patch.com

It's like that building is cursed! Restaurants can't seem to stay open... Marita's, Black Bull, Peter Pox, Blondies.

There's a bunch of comments on facebook... one person said the restaurant is closing and reopening as something else (sans the cheerleading uniforms). Another person suggested adding a chain restaurant.

I don't know why Marita's closed. We could use a good Mexican restaurant and bar in the area. Maybe someone could give us more info on that one. All the restaurants that followed had the wrong gimmick and the food was not worth the price. They were just ok. Peter Pox just had a TERRIBLE name. Sounds like a disease.

Maritas was great. Always busy. Not bad for what they did. They were there for quite awhile. Reason they closed were problems with the parent corporation. There were 3 other stores in the Philly area and all closed.

Subseqent places just could not cut it.
