Gas Prices Dip Slightly

Find the cheapest gas in Northampton.

The first two weeks of 2012 saw gas prices rise 12 cents because of geopolitical tensions with Iran. Through the same period in 2013, pump prices have risen only a penny, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

Gas prices fell slightly in the Bucks and Montgomery County areas over the week by 1.5 cents, which is still 1.7 cents lower than last month and less than 1 cent higher than a year ago.

The price per gallon in Pennsylvania is also down – by about 1 cent – since last week. The national average price of a gallon of self-serve regular is $3.297, while the average locally is $3.476.

Nearby, the cheapest price for regular is $3.46 at Hess on Second Street Pike.

Its a relief to see gas under $3.00, but What goes down will come back up higher than before.
