Cooler weather hasn’t stopped the rise in fuel prices; gas is up an average of 2 cents across the county and more than 8 cents locally, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.
As Gulf Coast refineries have successfully restarted production after Hurricane Isaac, prices in those states have dropped. Motorists in seven states—California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Oregon and Washington—however, continue to pay more than $4 a gallon.
In the Bucks and Montgomery Counties, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $3.898 per gallon, which is up 8.1 cents from a week ago, 24.5 cents higher than a month ago and 25.9 cents higher than a year ago.
Locally, the cheapest price for regular is $3.84 at the Sunoco at 620 E Bristol Rd. in Feasterville Trevose, followed by $3.86 at the Sunoco on 2nd Street Pk. in Ricboro.

A few readers have commented on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/NorthamptonPatch). Apparently, the Sunoco near Bristol Rd. is $3.90. And a few people have said that they venture to Hess or Costco for the best prices.
Where do you fuel up?

Car Wash USA is where I frequently go.
There is a great mobile app called Gas Buddy that is very helpful every where.
