Baseball Seniors Give Back to Local Youth

The Council Rock South baseball team varsity seniors organized an event on March 24 to help young players prepare for the upcoming season.

On Saturday, March 24, the seniors from the Council Rock South baseball team ran a clinic for boys ages 8 to 12 to get them ready for the upcoming season.

Booster Club member Christine Callahan said it was nice to see the older boys giving back to their younger counterparts "all for the love of the game."

The clinic, held at Council Rock South, included different drills for all positions and served as a fundraiser for the varsity team.

Jeff and Karen Adams wrote in an email, "Our son really enjoyed working with the high school players. When you are 10, teenagers seem like rock stars! He definitely learned a lot. As a matter of fact, he said he used something he learned at your batting practice at a game he had that afternoon. He was able to hit the ball farther than he had before and he scored two runs!"
