Marywood University Senior, CR South Grad Makes All-Region Soccer Team

Dallas, Pa. - Marywood University senior Ryan Jones (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic All-Region team, organizational officials announced Wednesday. Jones, who became the school's first all-region representative in 2010, was named to the Mid-Atlantic's second team for the third consecutive season.
Jones, from Holland, Pa., earned the CSAC Player of the Year award in his senior season. He scored seven goals, four assists and 18 points in 2012, putting the defender third on the team in goals and points. He was uccessful on three of four penalty-kick opportunities. He produced two goals in a 5-4 double overtime win at Alfred on Sept. 8.
He finished his career with 14 goals, 25 assists and 53 points. A four-time member of the CSAC's first team, he won the conference's Co-Player of the Year in 2011.
The defender led the Pacers to a 1.56 goals-against average through the season, and an 0.73 GAA during conference play. Marywood finished with a 12-7-3 record, and was the runner-up ECAC South Region tournament in Erie.
Neumann's Andy Attah was the only other CSAC representative on the all-region team.
